Description

Challah is a special bread eaten every Friday night and Saturday to celebrate the weekly Jewish holiday of Sabbath. My mom has been baking homemade challah for as long as I can remember, and there’s nothing more comforting and delicious than starting our meals with a warm, fresh slice. I am so lucky that she takes the time every week to make a fresh batch, so I wanted to share the recipe with you guys! This recipe is a culmination of different recipes that my mom has tweaked and perfected over the years.

  1. Add all the ingredients into a large bowl and mix around
  2. Pour mixture into a bread machine
  3. Select setting on bread machine for dough for 1 1/2 hours
  4. Braid and let rise for 4-6 hours
  5. Bake for 18 minutes at 350F

  6. Answer: Yes! While they won't be as tasty as a fresh patch, this recipe still freezes incredibly well

Each recipe also has clear symbols representing the different dietary restirctions that the recipes are good for, which is really helpful for a vegetarian like me. Also people can leave reviews, which I appreciate as I can see if other people enjpyed the recipe and/ or if they made modifications.


A Cozy Kitchen: I really like A Cozy Kitchen because it feels really personal. Adrianna adds tips and tricks to here recipe which is a fun way to make the site engaging. Her website also has many different categories that you can search for recipes from like hint of fall, viral hits, dinners and more.


Pinch Of Yum: I created a cookbook website on Figma for the class Viual Priniciples of the screen, and pinch of yum was one of the recipe websites that I used for insparation. Pinch of Yum has a clean design, and the photography is the photography is really great. One thing that I really appreciate about the recipes is that as you cook, you can check off the ingredients/steps on the website. This makes it easy to follow and you will never have to quesiton if added salt yet or not.

Tesla: Tesla’s website is super sleek and modern, which is on theme with their cars. The website features clean lines, simple text, and very cool, aesthetic photos of their products. It’s really easy to navigate which is important for a website as I want mine to be smooth to navigate as well.


Pintrest: Pinterest is a perfect example of being able to show a lot of content without overwhelming a user. The website uses a grid layout when browsing which I could use as insparation when organizing a website. I also realy like how the website uses rounded boxes which adds dimension to the page and is more playful than a normal rectangul.


Google Store: Goole Store is super sleek and similiar to Apple's webstie which I really like. The design is more minimalist with very simple and clear navigation. The user experience is great because of the intiuative filters which is something I would want my recipe website to have.
